Gloomy Celestials Version 7 Helmet Revision 4 Released!

Gloomy Celestials Version 7 Revision 4 has been released. An automated notification has been sent to purchasers. Check it out!

Changes:

  • Revised to simplify fabrication by replacing the majority of fastened joints with adhesive bonded joints.
  • Added an optional, printable hose for the faceplate (Part 6).
  • Revised parts to ensure compatibility with Bambu Labs X1C build volume (256 x 256 x 256 mm). As part of this effort, numerous parts previously presented as right and left halves have been combined.
  • Where possible, files were changed to the STEP format, versus STL. This change makes it easier for users to modify the helmet design. Additionally, since the STEP files retain surface data, users can create their own STL files at the resolution of their choosing. Previously, file size limits restricted the level of detail included in a release.
  • Due to the smaller file size of the STEP file format, where practicable, opposite-hand parts have been included. This will minimize the amount of mirroring required by the user.
  • The upper (Part 9B) and lower (Part 9A) halves of the faceplate have been joined into a single part (Part 9A).
  • Part 8B has been renamed Part 1A-1.
  • Part 8A has been renamed Part 1A-2.
  • Part 4E has been renamed Part 9E.
  • Parts 7AB and 7BA were revised to add alignment pins and slots on the vertical section of the wing.
  • Optional engravings have been added to Part 1C and 2A. These should be printed with a machine capable of high resolution (0.06 mm layer height or less).
